Description
The Texas live oak called Founder's Oak is approximately 310 years old, making it around 100 years of age when the first settlers came to the New Braunfels, Texas area. This impressive tree is located in Landa Park. While visiting the park, do check out the other local trees there too as some of them are also quite impressive.
My new book Trees I Have Known in Black and White is now published and can be viewed or purchased at this link: http://www.blurb.com/b/7752125-trees-i-have-known-in-black-and-white

Gary this is a beauty!!! Love the wonderful twists and turns … great capture!!!! We had a magnificent oak on the Eastern Shore (Maryland) called the Wye Oak … yours reminds me of it. f / t
